Monopoli is a small town on the eastern coast of Italy, in Puglia, between Bari and Brindisi. The old town, Centro storico, is a charming, lively town court with hardly any traffic noise, and here we have found the holiday house of our dreams, which we named "Solglime". From the house it is only 150 meters to the nearest beach and the same distance to the heart of the town, the fish-and-vegetable marked. Monopoli's surprisingly big cathedral is our neighbour. The church has a rich baroque interior of marble mosaic and the tower is nicely lit at night.
